Directors
Nancy Carol or “NC” (LP Class of 2022) has a passion for community building. She has an extensive background in commercial television production, online marketing, business development, and managing volunteers. Highlights of her career include being a Production Manager on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics where she oversaw the service of thousands of volunteers and championing public education as the Community Engagement Manager of the Pasadena Educational Foundation. She earned a B.A. in Mass Media Communications from North Carolina State University.
Karen Burgess (LP Class of 2022) is the former the Director, of Business Solutions, Corporate Alliances and Partnership Marketing at The Walt Disney Company. She has extensive experience leading the design and development of customer-facing operational and technical solutions. Karen holds an undergraduate degree in German and Psychology from Smith College and a Masters in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania.
