Mission Statement
Leadership Pasadena is a collaborative organization dedicated to personal growth and leadership development, cultivating a diverse network of community advocates.
Leadership Pasadena was founded in answer to the question “How can we, the people of Pasadena, help the city and community become better at improving itself?” Unlike other civic leadership programs, Leadership Pasadena is unique in that it brings together the many diverse segments of our community together to create informed, determined and connected community leaders ready to make a positive impact on our city.
Nearly 300 people have graduated from the Leadership Pasadena program, and renowned organizations (such as the City of Pasadena and the Tournament of Roses) have taken advantage of our customized one-day sessions. Leadership Pasadena graduates have used their experience to serve on the boards of NGOs, major business and educational organizations and civic groups as well as to further their own careers and improve their organizations.
Leadership Pasadena’s impact can be seen in the legacy of community service projects that have been created through our programs. From developing PasadenaHelp.org with Fuller Seminary and the Junior League of Pasadena, to providing solar energy at the Harambee Center to creating an ongoing series of youth employment workshops for the city to launching the ArtWorks! program at LearningWorks Charter School, Leadership Pasadena improves the community in many tangible ways.
